Peter Wegner\u2019s visual art challenges convention: an urban garden maze made out of paper, a photo series celebrating empty space, a monument built not to commemorate an event but to celebrate the idea of change itself. His fascination with language, too, encourages him to blur the line between the visual and written arts. His installation Ways to Change,\u00a0one of his four permanent installations at Stanford University, creates art by playing with language. The eighteen-foot wall of adverbs is at once an installation and a poem, the display constantly changing to reveal different groups of words. The dynamic nature of the piece offers viewers a different experience each time they pass by and gives the sense of a poem writing and rewriting itself in perpetuity.<\/p>\n
